We approach everything we do with an agile philosophy. We prioritise projects and break down tasks so they are manageable, achievable and cost-effective.
We assess your online presence through our thorough auditing process designed specifically for independent hotels. This process is designed to uncover opportunities for improvement either on an actual or hypothetical basis. These insights are then moved to the prioritise phase.
During a phone call we discuss the outcome of the audit and present our recommended prioritisation of those tasks. You (as the hotel owner or general manager) then tweak this according to your requirements. In effect, we agree what is the lowest hanging fruit that represents the best opportunity to move the needle forward.
The next step is to assign these agreed tasks to the most appropriate resource. This might be to your own staff, Locus Focus Digital Marketing Specialists or external partners. The best person for the job is chosen based on the balance of importance, efficiency, experience, availability and value for money.
Tasks are completed as efficiently and effectively as possible, within the estimated time frame discussed beforehand. In most cases, projects such as website constructions are completed within three weeks. Minor tasks such as updating copy on a website are completed within days or hours.
Everything that is worth measuring is evaluated and that analysis discussed at our next meeting (approximately every three weeks if you engage us on an ongoing basis).
HOW WE DO IT
Locus Focus meetings are conducted on telephone calls from our head office in Brisbane by Chris Jack or Nick Smith from Hobart. Chris is the digital marketing specialist and professional photographer, and Nick Smith is the creative and visual media expert specialising in video production, graphic design and branding.
Together, we are able to quickly identify opportunities for improving online presence and effectively take on a project management role. Any tasks that are assigned to us can be quoted—giving you complete transparency—or completed on an hourly basis.
We often collaborate with you using Asana—project management software that allows everyone to see exactly what is being worked on, and where tasks are assigned. This also allows us to prioritise everything.
Internally we use the Slack messaging system, and we can also set you up with this as well.
We are constantly adding software platforms, tools and resources to our marketing tool belt and in many cases our services are utilised to consult about the right software or SAAS products to suit your requirements.
We recommend the Sirvoy PMS platform for many of our clients, but your individual needs made vary.
All our services are based on a flat hourly rate of $88 per hour including GST (pre-paid or credit card on file for billing).

As our services are highly time-intensive and nothing is outsourced, we only work with a small number of hotels at any given time. If we are currently booked out we will discuss this with you and advise of the next available consultation.
